[Review] ByWishtrend, Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water

Today I would like to write a review about an exfoliator toner that I received last month from ByWishtrend.

When talking about exfoliating toners, Pixi Glow Tonic would first come to my mind, as it is one of the earlier ones to emerge and quickly became a cult favorite. Then came The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, at a fraction of Pixi Glow Tonic price and with a bigger volume. What these two have in common is that both contain glycolic acid, which has the smallest acid molecule and can be irritating to sensitive skin folks – like me–.

How to learn products’ ingredients in 5 minutes?

If you want to be a more cured and educated fan of k-beauty and skincare, this is the guide for you.
Today, I’ll talk about how to understand the ingredients of a particular product and find out what’s not right for your skin type.

Why ingredients matter?
Ingredients tell you a lot about product effectiveness and health safety; no matter what the product declares to do, count the ingredients.
Understanding ingredients of a potential product that you are going to buy is very important especially for people with very delicate skin.
Products contain so many ingredients that it is difficult to keep track of all and unfortunately not all of us have an amazing skin that can tolerate everything. That’s why you have to be more cautious!

Kimbap: The Korean Sushi Roll

Kimbap is one of the favorite foods of Koreans. Similar to sushi roll or Japanese maki it is very nutritious and handy for a quick meal.
Obviously, it is also delicious.
The meaning of the name of this dish is literal:
Kim=seaweed
bap=rice.

It consists, in fact, in steamed rice with vegetables, eggs and meat rolled in a ‘sheet’ of dried seaweed and then all cut into disks to make it easier to eat.

There are various types, with different fillings and combinations: everyone can choose the one they like best or, as in my case, prepare the one that most inspires.

From the description, those who know a bit of Japanese cuisine, will have thought that the Kimbap is nothing more than the Maki or sushi roll.

Probably this Japanese dish has found space between kitchens and Korean palates during the Japanese colonization.

Now, let’s see what we need. Don’t be afraid if some ingredients are a little bit hard to find, I’ll link you where to find them!

Asian Makeup vs. Western Makeup

Makeup is a form of art that is spectacular in every nuance; styles can change if it’s influenced by the culture and shape of the person’s face. Obviously, it is also influenced by the nation where the person is or lives.
There is nothing better to make up by trying different styles and then find your own!
Personally, I came across the world of makeup in general almost five years ago and about two years ago I discovered that I’m also passionate about Korean makeup.
In this post, I will discuss the differences between Western and Asian makeup, but more specifically the Korean one.

[Review] BTS; Love Yourself: Tear

Two days ago, May 18, BTS released their third Korean studio album, Love Yourself: Tear.

Actually, Love Yourself: Tear was first announced on April 14, 2018, following the release of a nine-minute short film entitled “Euphoria: Theme of Love Yourself 起 Wonder” on April 5 so we can definitely say that I was waiting for that moment for almost a month.

As soon as I could, I bought the digital edition of this album so my review will only be about this edition.

The Korean Alphabet

Anyone who is passionate about South Korea will find themselves wanting to learn the language, surely the first step from which we must pass is to learn to read the hangul (한글), the Korean alphabet.

Learning to read Korean will only take you some days, if not only a couple of hours and if you already know Hangul, then this will be a good review!

Please note: I will explain the alphabet in order to, hopefully, make it easier to understand.

Korean Table Manners

In South Korea, as in the rest of the world, there are rules that must be followed when one is at a table, some are more important than others.

Obviously, the more formal the occasion, the more your manners will be important to maintain and will be noticed. For example, if you’re in a business dinner or at your boyfriend’s house, you should be much more careful than on a night out drinking with friends.

But what are these rules? Let’s see them together.
